Join the NJ Association of Museums for our 2026 Annual Meeting, connecting colleagues from across the state to learn, share, and reflect on the vital work of New Jersey museums.
Scheduled for Thursday, July 9, at Drew University in Madison, NJ, this year’s meeting will feature a keynote panel of speakers leading new and emerging museums in New Jersey; the presentation of the 2026 John Cotton Dana Award; a networking and business lunch; and opportunities to explore local museums on your own.

Kick off the day with the emerging organizations that are bringing fresh topics, STEM interpretation, and interactive spaces to the state, building community and engaging new audiences along the way. Our featured speakers are:
11:45 AM - Presentation of the 2026 John Cotton Dana Award
Join us in celebrating Dana Award winner Celene Ryan, Assistant Director, Community and Access Programs, at Montclair Art Museum.
12:00 PM - Networking Lunch and NJAM Business Meeting
Gather with colleagues from across the state for a boxed lunch (included with registration) and hear about what’s new for NJAM in 2026.
1:00 PM to 2:00 PM - Explore Local Museums
NJAM will provide a list of local museums offering special visits for meeting attendees.
