NJAM Connections: A Casual Coffee Break - How was 2020? Expectations for 2021?

Join us on Wednesday, December 9th from 2:30 - 3:30 pm on Zoom for an informal conversation to support and connect with your colleagues from across New Jersey. The topic of this NJAM Connections meeting is: “A Casual Coffee Break, An Informal Conversation: How was 2020 for you? What are your expectations for 2021?"

This has been a year full of unprecedented challenges and historic movements. As museum and historical organization professionals, we are expected to adapt to cultural shifts and changes in health and safety standards in a timely manner. We are facing a growing pandemic, calls for racial justice and a politically divided nation. As rugged as the past year has been, have these issues created opportunities for you and your organization? Perhaps new avenues of connecting? Despite the challenges, are there things that you are grateful for? What have you learned about yourself, your institution and your public? What kind of year do you anticipate in 2021?

NJAM programs are intended to provide a format for honest, open discussions across the museum, cultural and historical organization fields to provide you with connections and insights. Come share your challenges and concerns, your successes and surprises with colleagues. This is a time to talk about positive news and creative solutions as well as to pose questions to the group about how to solve a persistent problem. Consider this to be your virtual, informal coffee hour!

The NJAM Connections “A Casual Coffee Break: How was 2020? Expectations for 2021?" program will take place on Wednesday, December 9th from 2:30 - 3:30 pm. The program will provide you with an opportunity to chat with your colleagues in smaller breakout groups about issues that are of concern to you and your organization today.

NJAM Connections programs offer a “Pay As You Wish” participation fee. After registering, you will receive a Confirmation Email and under “Additional Information” there will be instructions about how to join the virtual meeting.

We hope you can join us on December 9th!
